Welcome to our school!

Harmony Goes Silver!
Shelley-Ann Brown, winner of a silver medal in the women's two person bobsleigh in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games, was a guest at Harmony on March 15. She spoke to staff and students about her education, training, and experience at the Olympics. Her message encouraged students to work hard, and find joy in their lives. She spoke of taking charge of what you can, and not worrying about what is beyond your control. We felt her joy as she described the experience of winning a silver medal!
A former student in the Durham District School Board, Shelley-Ann is a graduate of E.B Phin Public School, and Dunbarton High School. Shelley-Ann started out as our neighbour, and her strength and determination took her to the top of a mountain. She truly is an inspiration to us all, and we will never forget the day that the Olympics came to Harmony!
